Xiaomi Redmi Note Users in India are now receiving MIUI 9.5 updates. The Redmi Note 4 successor was recently launched with the Android 7.0 Nogat-based MIUI 9. But
during the launch, Xiamen India had confirmed that both the Redmi Note 5
and the Redmi Note 5 Pro will receive the MIUI 9.5 update soon. Redmi
Note 5 India is getting updates in a phased manner, which means, if you
have not received it yet, okay, you may have to wait a few more times,
or you can call it about the phone segment You can also head for the Settings menu to check for available
updates. New MIUI Update 9.5 has brought many new features, bug fixes
and many new Laundered Redmi Note 5.
So far, the Redmi Note 5 was running on Android 7.0 Nogat-based MIUI 9. With updates to the MIUI 9.5.4.0 NCFMIAA, Redmi Note 5 users are now upgrading to many new features such as - Instant Search Options, Adjusted Status Search Bar, Sound Recording Options for Screen Recorder, Custom Browser Kernel and more. Xiaomi has revamped the starting page and also optimized the performance of the Redmi Note 5. In spite of the introduction of Mi Mover, the interrupted transfer has also started. With MIUI 9.5, the Redmi Note 5 users will now be able to transfer app data with or without app data using MI mover.
In addition to these new features, the MIUI 9.5 brings customization in the notification panel. It adds a new format for floating notifications in landscape mode. The software update also adds bug fixes to Redmi Note 5. This system launcher fixes the problem, which prevented the widget after adding or opening after updating to 7.11.10. It also solved the problem setting problem when the apps were installed and Crop Scrolls screenshot problem fix too. MIUI 9.5 also brings a quick dial number option, and also fixs talkback improvements, Bluetooth switch responsiveness and system launcher stopping problem in notification shadows.
To install the MIUI 9.5 update, go to the Redmi Note 5 User Settings option> About Phone section> and then head to System Update. Before installing the update, be sure to connect to Wi-Fi and back up your data.
Earlier last week, a handful of other Xiamys phones received MIUI 9.5 updates like Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 3, Mi Max and some others. The list includes - Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm / Redmi Note 4X, Redmi 4A, Redmi 5 Plus, MI Max and MI Max Prime. The company has confirmed to release updates in the form of 30 to Xiomi phones in the coming days.
This is a quick list which has been kept by Xiamen which also includes a temporary timeline:
- Late March: Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Radmi Note 3 Qualcomm, Radmi Note 4 Qualcomm / Redmi Note 4X, Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Redmi 3S, Radmi 4 Prime, Radmi 4A and Radmi Note 4 MTK
