On Thursday, Samsung, ahead of CES 2018, announced the new Exynos 9 Series 9810 SOC on its second generation 10 nm Finet Process Technology.

South Korean giants have claimed that Exogenous 9 Series 9810 is by far the most innovative mobile processor, which is for AI applications and rich multimedia content.

The new SOC has increased the single-core performance with two-fold and multi-core performance compared to its predecessor, almost 40 percent.

Xinose 9 Series 9810 SOC is currently in mass production, and this year it is expected to be launched with Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 +."Xinos 9 Series 9810 is our latest generation mobile processor, with our third generation custom CPU, Ultra-Fast Gigabit LTE modem and deep processing enhancement image processing," said Ben Hur, Vice President of Samsung Systems LSI Marketing.

Electronics "The Xinos 9810 smart platform, such as smartphones, personal computing and automotive will be the main catalyst for innovation for the incoming AI era."Xinose 9810 has introduced features such as neural network based deep learning algorithms and strong protection.

Samsung says that this technology will help the processor to identify people or objects in images correctly for image search.

It will also allow deep sensitivity to scan a user's face in 3D for hybrid face detection, using both hardware and software.

"Xinos 9810 provides a deep-seam sensitivity for strong tracking, as well as scanning the user's face in 3D for the face tracking filter," the company said.Additional security features include processing unit that protects user information such as faces, iris, and fingerprint data.

It also includes firewalls that separate internal sub-systems from each other, it will be interesting to see how the chip is displayed against the Apple A11 Bionic SOC, which is being used in the iPhone X,

Samsung claims that the clock speed of the custom CPU reaches 2.9 GHz, which indicates high computing power.

For configuration, the Xinos 9810 SOC has four custom CPU cores that come in at 2.9 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 1.9 GHz.

The latest ARM Mali-G272 MP18 GPU in Xinos 9810 brings more realistic graphics with 20 percent more power than its predecessor. SOC supports LPDDRX RAM.Meanwhile, the advanced MFC (multi-format codec) includes 10 bit HEVC (H.65), H.264 and VP9 codecs, which provide 64 times more color than conventional 8-bit color format.

Xinos 9810 has a dual-ISP (Image Signal Processor) that supports up to 4 image sensors, as well as a camera with side camera as well as a dual camera and a front iris sensor.

Imaging sub-system enables high-resolution image and advanced stabilization and real-time focus photography in video.

The SOC supports up to 24-megapixel front and rear cameras, or up to 16 megapixel dual cameras. The Samsung Xinos 9810 displays WQUXGA (2400x3840 pixels) and 4K UHD (4096x2160 pixels) in SOC resolution. For storage, Xinos 9810 supports SOC UFS 2.1 and SD 3.0.When it comes to streaming 'high-quality virtual reality content', then the speed of downlink and uplink in Xinos 9810 will be 1.2Gbps (LTE Cat .186CA) and 200Mbps

LTE Cat. New SOC 4K UHD Video recording and playback with frame rate up to 120 fps. Additionally, audio subsystem has also been upgraded to 32bit / 384kHz audio quality. Switch to includeExogenous 9810 SOC, along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, will be launching on the forthcoming Galaxy S9 phone. Qualcomm had announced the Snapdragon 845 SOC as its next premium mobile processor at the Snapdragon

Technology Summit on December 5. These new SOCs have been designed for next-generation Android flagship devices which will be launched in 2018.
