HP Recalls Laptop, Mobile Workstation Batteries Due to Fire, Burn Issues .

Due to the immediate problem, HP has missed some laptops and mobile workstation batteries.  



HP laptops have been affected, which were sent between December 2015 and December 2017 in the last two years.

 Users can go to the HP website to check whether their battery is included in the recall or not. The company has listed all the models affected by this issue.  

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) remembers on its site, which states that approximately 50,000 batteries are affected in the US, 

and added that 2,600 defective batteries were sold in Canada.HP has promised a free battery replacement and it is an appointment to take place for affected customers.  

In a blog post, Himachal Pradesh has instructed to enable 'Battery Safety Mode' in case of battery joining.  

HP said in a release, "HP strongly recommends acceptance of battery protection mode so that notebook or mobile workstation can be used safely by connecting to HP Power Adapter". 

 Not all batch of affected laptops are part of remembering, which is why the company has released the HP Battery Validation Utility to check it when the special battery is affected in the notebook computer.

 Verification using utility takes less than 30 seconds, HP has noted.HP ProBooks (640, 645, 650, GS3 and G3 Series 655), HPX 360 310G2, HP Envy M6, HP Pavilion X360310G2, HP11 Notebook PC: 

Accessories for Improved HD Laptops , Or HP ZBook (17G3, 17G4 and Studio G3) mobile workstation.  

The list includes HP Zabbook Studio G4 which does not ship from the affected battery, but could be replaced with themThe US Consumer Product Safety Commission has said that HP has obtained eight reports of over-reporting, melting, or grinding of battery packs, including three reports of property damage including $ 4,500 (approximately Rs 2,85,200).

 Meanwhile, HP has said, "The quality and security of all HP products is our top priority. We have recently learned that some of the notebook computers and mobile workstation are provided by one of our suppliers. is.

" It said, "The primary concern of HP is to protect our customers. HP is constantly communicating to the customers, and will provide battery services at no cost to each verified, eligible battery."The minimum system requirements for the HP Battery Program Validation Utility are the Windows operating system,

 Microsoft Net Framework 4.5.2 and the HP Software Framework. If the latter two are not available on the computer, then users can download the fully loaded battery verification utility program.
