Country's leading telecommunications operator, Airtel has partnered with HMD Global, a company licensed to build Nokia-branded smartphones. As part of the partnership, Telecom has offered a cashback of Rs 2,000 on Nokia 3 and Nokia 2 smartphones.
Both the 4G smartphones will be bundled with a special Airtel retail pack of 169 rupees per day with 1GB 4G data and unlimited calling-local and STD. 9,499 launches, Nokia will be available at an effective price of Rs. 7,499. On the other hand, Nokia 2 was launched at Rs 6,999, which will come at an effective price of 4 999.
Cashback returns of Rs 2,000 in two installments in 36 months will be given. One customer needs to make an Airtel prepaid recharge of Rs 3,500 in 18 months to be eligible for the first cashback installment of Rs 500. Similarly, in the next 18 months, in the second set of recharge of Rs 3,500, the customer will be eligible for second installment of Rs 1,500
