Xiaomi has given Samsung a place in the top smartphone maker in India, which
is ending for a long time throughout the year, because the Chinese
handset maker becomes more aggressive and extends its presence in the
market, market and research companies Canellis and Counterpoint said on Wednesday.
According to Keynell, during the period of October and December last year (Q4 2017), Xiaomi sent 8.2 million smartphones to India. In comparison, Sanalas, Canalis said, sent a little above 7.3 million units. Quoting the data for Q4 2017, Xoomi, with 25% market share, had confirmed the counterpoint before the top smartphone vendor Samsung (23% market share) in the country.
Samsung, who has assumed the position of the tent among smartphone makers for years in the country, rejected the conclusions and counterpoint findings on Wednesday evening. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer said that it is "India's No. 1" smartphone company "from a distance", citing data from the market and research firm GFK.
Overall, India's smartphone market reached 300 million miles for the first time with the loading of 6%, the counterpoint said.
"According to GFK, which sells consumers' finishing, Samsung's 45% market value was in the previous (November) quarter and market share was 40%.
Samsung is a full-fledged player and in 2017 India's Smartphone leads the business in every part of the market, "the company said in a statement.
It needs to be pointed out, Canalis and Counterpoint, and Samsung are referring to a slightly different metric. Researchers have evaluated the market share of various companies in India, depending on the number of handsets they sent to the market - Like sitting in the shelves in the list.
Samsung argues that if the total revenue generated from the smartphone or the quantity of the shipped handsets is kept in mind, then it is still the top handset seller in India.
"More importantly, Samsung is India's 'most credible' brand, we are dependent on our unquestioned leadership for the love and trust of our millions of consumers in India."
Overall, Samsung has completed the entire year of 2017, More smartphones sent in, counterpoint says
