Paytm Payments Bank now offers physical debit card; here’s how to request for one.

Paytm announced on Friday that it will launch physical debit card for its payment bank account holders.
This service is currently available only for Paytm users on iOS devices. Paytm says that it will soon be launching for Android users.
If you want to request a physical debit card, you will first have to create a Paytm Payments bank account.


 You can create one with your Peti login ID and password. Upon opening paytm Payments bank account, a nominal fee will be charged.
To avail the standard banking services on the paytm payment bank, you have to verify your EKYC details.  


There is no minimum balance on this account, however, the maximum amount is 1 lakh. After opening your paytm Bank account, you will be given a digital Rupee Debit Card for online transaction.

How to request physical Paytm Debit Card
To request physical debit card, tap on the bank icon. Scroll down and select 'Debit and ATM Services', and select 'request card', and hit 'processed'.
To complete the process, a small fee of Rs 120 should be repaid. After this your existing digital card will be distributed to you in physical format.


 Paytm's debit card can be used for transactions on the stores, and can also be used to withdraw cash from the ATM.

This new feature was launched on the occasion of BHIM UP rollout for iOS devices. The BHIM UI integration is already available for Android.
In order to use the BHIM user, you will first need to create a virtual payment address (VPA), and then link it to any eligible bank. After this, you can transfer money to another bank using the BHIM user on Paytm. There is no need to have a paid bank account for this feature.
