Bug made WhatsApp app ‘obsolete’ for many users in India: Here’s the fix.

In India, many WhatsApp users are complaining that this application is no longer working because it has become "obsolete", Whatsapp has accepted the error message and said the problem is recovering.
"This is an issue that is being decided, it was a problem how our app is distributed, which is not under our control," said a company spokesman.
Previously, many users complained that their WhatsApp Apps became "obsolete" overnight and they could not update it. 


 "This version of Whatsapp has become obsolete on January 13, 2018. Please go to the Google Play Store to download the latest version," Read the error message
As expected, users were not very happy with the bug.


It appears that only the selected handsets were affected by the bug. According to a report in Tech, due to this problem, 

the Xiaomi smartphone has been largely affected. Another report in the FirstPost says that there was a similar problem last week.
A YouTube search reported that similar problems had happened earlier.
How to fix whatsapp "obsolete" bug
One of the ways to fix the bug is to enable automatic date and time by going to Settings> Automatic Time Zone> Kill all apps> Re-launch WhatsApp
If this does not work for you, you can delete the app and download the latest version from WhatsAppSite's website. Do not forget to back up your content before uninstalling and reinstalling.
